# How to create a new site?

|| 💡 Creating a site is an essential step in organizing your projects and sharing key information with your field teams.

# From the Web app

### 1. Open the site creation page

### 2. Fill in the required information

Only the following is mandatory:
* **Site name**: allows you to clearly identify the site.

The following are not mandatory:
* **Site code**: enter the quote number or another internal reference.
* **Client**: indicate the name of the relevant client.
* **Dates and times**: set the start and end period, as well as the default hours for assignments.
* **Estimated hours**: set the start and end period, as well as the default hours for assignments.
* **Address / Postcode / City / GPS coordinates**: use Google Maps to automatically fill in the address and make it easier to reach the site via Alobees GPS.
* **Additional address details**: add details (e.g. floor, entry code).
* **Site manager**: By default, this is the person who created the site. Site managers assigned to this site will be able to edit the site, schedule, track hours, etc. (⚠️ Only people with the administrator or site manager role can have this designation).
* **Site foremen**: This designation gives them the right to edit the hours of other people working on this site (⚠️ These people must have the "worker" role).
* **Site contact / Contact phone number**: free text field, enter the contact and associated phone number.
* **Customize the site**: choose a color and photo to make visual identification easier.
* **Statuses**: assign a status to track key steps (you can create these from the settings).
* **Tags**: assign one or more tags to filter your sites on the schedule and the workload schedule (you can create these directly from the settings or in the site settings).

# From the Mobile app

||| ⚠️ Creating a site on the Alobees mobile app is just as quick and easy. However, you won't be able to enter as much information as from the computer.

### 1. Open the site creation page

* Tap the "Sites" tab in the main menu or on the home page.
* Tap the "+" at the bottom of your screen.

### 2. Fill in the main information

Fill in the following information:
* Site name (mandatory).
* Site address (optional).
* Site photo (optional).

### 3. Finalize the creation

The site is created automatically. Complete the missing information by editing the site on Mobile or Web.

| 📝 Use the "location" button to automatically fill in the address with your current position.

| 📝 We recommend entering as much information as possible, as this is the information that will be shared with your field teams to help them get there.
